About
Built by a parent who was tired of "just memorize it."
Sense of Study started with a simple frustration: most math sites tell a kid what a concept is, then hand them 40 problems. They almost never teach the part that actually trips students up on a test โ recognizing which idea a problem is asking for.
What we believe
Understanding math isn't reciting definitions โ it's pattern recognition. A student who can look at an unfamiliar problem and think "oh, this is really about independent events" will outperform one who memorized the formula but can't tell when to use it. So every one of our 998 lessons is built around one rule: teach the recognition problem, not just the definition. The cues that signal a concept. The look-alikes it gets confused with. The trap most kids fall into.
How it's made
This is a small operation โ essentially one parent working with modern AI tools to build something at a scale that used to require a whole company: 998 concept lessons and 51,014 practice questions across math, physics, chemistry, statistics, and CS thinking. AI helps draft and check at that scale; every worked solution is human-reviewed before it ships. We're honest about what's still rough, we fix things fast, and we'd rather ship a true "in review" label than pretend everything is perfect.
From the founder
I built this for my own kids first. I wanted a place where a student could get a straight answer, understand why it works, and practice until it clicks โ without a $40/hour tutor and without the noise of ad-covered worksheet sites. If it helps your family the way it helps mine, that's the whole point. And if it doesn't, the money-back guarantee means you're not stuck.
